With over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Sharon has discovered that true fulfillment comes not just from success, but from helping others secure their future and transform their lives. Her work is driven by purpose, service, and the belief that financial security can open doors to opportunity, freedom, and peace of mind.

Born and raised in Jamaica, Sharon’s career journey reflects versatility, resilience, and a strong work ethic. She began her professional life as a trained secretary at The Mico Teachers’ College, where she supported board meetings and accounting lectures, including payroll functions. Her diverse background also includes roles as a general insurance Claims Adjuster, hotel front-desk receptionist, cinema manager, and luxury vehicle sales representative for Audi and Volkswagen.

A pivotal moment came when she observed a fellow church member purchase a luxury vehicle for their pastor. Curious about how he achieved such success, she learned that he was a licensed life insurance agent who found the career both financially rewarding and deeply fulfilling. That conversation sparked her journey into the life insurance industry. She went on to work with several respected organizations, including Mutual Life Insurance Society, Guardian Life Insurance, Sagicor, and Law Insurance Brokers.

Upon immigrating to Canada, Sharon faced the familiar challenges many newcomers experience—uncertainty, limited opportunities, and the obstacle of “no Canadian experience.” Determined to move forward, she pursued additional education in sales and marketing, project management, and computer studies, along with an internship at a research company. She later spent ten years working in a utility services role, helping homeowners and renters set up hydro accounts. While grateful for the opportunity, she realized she was surviving rather than thriving—working tirelessly, training others without recognition, and living paycheck to paycheck.

During this time, she completed her LLQP licensing and became a licensed insurance professional in Ontario. This marked her return to the work she knew and loved most—helping people, creating impact, and finding purpose in service.

Her journey led her to Greatway Financial Inc., an organization she believes truly invests in the happiness and success of both clients and advisors.
